Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining high quality and consistency across all pasta offerings
- Manage team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative working environment
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety standards, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and ensure timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new pasta recipes or improvements based on customer feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a professional kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent understanding of culinary techniques related to pasta making and food presentation
- Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
