Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach to lead and inspire our sports team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching, teaching, and anatomy, with a passion for developing athletes’ skills and fostering a positive team environment. Duties
- Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the team's needs and individual athlete development
- Lead coaching sessions, ensuring techniques and strategies are effectively communicated and executed
- Analyse game footage and performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Motivate athletes to achieve their personal best and maintain high levels of discipline and sportsmanship
- Organise team practices, matches, and tournaments in collaboration with organisational staff
- Provide guidance on injury prevention, recovery, and anatomy-related concerns
- Foster a positive team culture centred on respect, dedication, and continuous improvement
- Monitor athlete progress through regular assessments and feedback sessions
- Sometimes taking equipment to the sessions (extra pay)
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching at competitive levels
- Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to communicate complex concepts clearly
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy relevant to athletic performance and injury prevention
- Excellent organisational skills to plan training schedules and manage team logistics
- Ability to motivate athletes and build cohesive team dynamics
- Good understanding of sports psychology and behavioural management techniques
- Relevant coaching certifications or licences are desirable but not essential
