Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems, with a core focus on actuators, motor controls, and mechanical linkages.
- Create detailed 3D models, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD tools (such as SolidWorks).
- Develop and debug firmware for embedded systems using C++ and Python.
- Perform system modeling and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink to validate design concepts.
- Analyze data and signal processing to optimize actuator response, torque, and precision.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, soldering, and hardware debugging on prototype systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software elements.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry safety and performance standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and PCB debugging.
- Experience with embedded systems programming (C/C++) and scripting (Python).
- Familiarity with microcontrollers (ARM-based) and motion control systems.
- Knowledge of simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on prototyping skills, including soldering and electronic testing.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
