The Yelverton Residential Home require a motivated and experienced Day Senior Health Care Assistant to join our friendly care team. 36 hours per week. NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care is preffered, together with Medication experience, full training will be provided with the opportunity of you being able to complete a new or higher qualification.
Your role will involve but will not be exhaustive to:
Work along side Duty manager.
Continuously evaluate the quality of care given, and regularly reassess the needs of residents in consultation with the residents, their relatives and the care team, and to effect change required to achieve.
Administer and order medicines as required for residents and by the home’s policies and procedures.
Liaise with residents’ GPs and other healthcare professionals involved such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, community nurses, etc.
Engage in care planning and implementation of care plans when necessary. On call on a rota basis.
Induction will be given with shadow shifts so you can get to meet our residents and learn about their individual needs.
