As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Asset Management Engineer / Consultant who is analytical, curious and looking to build a career in asset management consulting.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and understanding how complex engineering systems operate in the real world.
Job Overview
As an Asset Management Engineer / Consultant, you will support the delivery of asset management, asset information and maintenance improvement projects across a range of industrial and infrastructure sectors.
From an early stage, you will be involved in site-based asset verification, data collection, data analysis and the practical application of asset management principles. You will work alongside experienced consultants and client teams to improve the quality of asset information, support maintenance decision-making and help organisations better understand and manage their assets.
This role offers a unique blend of engineering, data analysis, consulting and project delivery. You will learn how major UK infrastructure and industrial assets are designed, operated, maintained and improved using real-world asset and maintenance data.
As part of this role you will be involved with structured on-the-job learning, mentoring from experienced consultants and exposure to a wide variety of clients, sectors and challenges.

Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of asset management and asset information projects for clients across the UK.
- Collect, verify and analyse asset data through site surveys, asset verification exercises and client information systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of asset registers, equipment hierarchies and criticality assessments.
- Assist with asset data cleansing, validation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Analyse asset and maintenance data to identify trends, identify gaps and support improvement recommendations.
- Support maintenance strategy development and asset performance improvement activities.
- Assist with the configuration, population and maintenance of asset information within CMMS and EAM systems.
- Produce reports, analysis and recommendations to support client decision-making.
- Organise and manage technical documentation and asset information.
- Work alongside consultants, engineers and operational teams on live client projects.
- Travel to client sites across the UK as required.
About you
Essential
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Manufacturing, Chemical or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and information systems.
- Interest in physical assets, maintenance, engineering systems or infrastructure.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Willingness to visit client sites and work within industrial environments.
- Positive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.
- At least one years’ experience post qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Industrial placement, internship or site-based experience.
- Experience working with engineering, maintenance or operational data.
- Awareness of maintenance, reliability or asset management principles.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with CMMS or EAM systems.
- Interest in working towards professional registration (IEng or CEng).

Work location
The role will involve regular travel to client sites, with your office base located in Port Talbot. You can typically expect to spend three to four days per week working on client sites, with the remaining one to two days working from the Port Talbot office or from home, depending on project and client requirements.
Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
