Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages to various locations within designated routes
- Load and unload parcels, including heavy items requiring physical strength and proper lifting techniques
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations not essential as training is provided
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting required for handling packages
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently in urban or rural settings
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly throughout the shift
