As Senior Sommelier, you will take ownership of the wine service, helping to create memorable experiences for every guest while supporting the ongoing development of the restaurant's award-winning beverage offering.
You will work closely with the senior management and kitchen teams to ensure the wine programme perfectly complements the food, while mentoring junior members of the front of house team and helping maintain the exceptionally high standards expected within a Michelin Star restaurant.
As Senior Sommelier you will:
- Deliver knowledgeable, confident, and engaging wine service throughout every shift
- Recommend and confidently explain wine pairings to enhance the guest experience
- Assist in maintaining and developing the wine list
- Manage cellar organisation, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Train and mentor junior members of the front of house team
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and chefs to deliver seamless service
- Build lasting relationships with guests through exceptional hospitality and product knowledge
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation, professionalism, and attention to detail
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Michelin Star or similarly high-quality restaurant and possess an excellent knowledge of wines, producers, and food pairings.
You will be passionate about hospitality, confident in engaging with guests, and committed to delivering an exceptional level of personalised service.
