Job Role – Driver/Yardsman/labourer
Location: Coventry/Stratford Upon Avon/Southam
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / Yardsman / Labourer to join our growing team based in the West Midlands.
This is a varied role supporting our roofing operations across social housing projects throughout Coventry, Warwickshire, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Stratford-upon-Avon and across the West Midlands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting materials from merchants and suppliers.
- Delivering materials, tools and equipment safely to various sites.
- Loading and unloading company vehicles.
- Maintaining stock levels and keeping the yard clean, organised and safe.
- Checking deliveries and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
- Assisting site teams with labouring duties when required.
- Supporting general day-to-day operational requirements to keep projects running efficiently.
Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a similar driver, yard or labouring role is desirable.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- CSCS card is beneficial but not essential.
- Flexibility to travel to different sites when required.
- A brief knowledge of construction/materials would be desirable
