Hotel Assistant Manager
The Hotel Assistant Manager supports the Hotel Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel. This role ensures exceptional guest service, maintains operational standards, supervises staff, and assists in achieving financial and business objectives. The Assistant Manager acts as a key point of contact for guests and team members and assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Operations
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services (where applicable).
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards.
Staff Management
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate hotel staff.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Prepare employee schedules and manage staffing levels according to business demands.
- Promote a positive and productive working environment.
Revenue & Financial Performance
- Support revenue management strategies to maximize room occupancy and ADR.
- Monitor daily sales, occupancy, and operational reports.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling costs.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Conduct safety checks and maintain security procedures.
- Manage emergency situations according to hotel policies.
Administrative Duties
- Prepare operational reports and management updates.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies when necessary.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes.
- Assist with implementing hotel initiatives and projects.
Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in hotel operations, supervisory, or management roles.
Skills & Competencies
