TITLE: Security Officer
LOCATION: Luton (across 2 sites in Luton)
PAY RATE: £13.18
HOURS: 38 hrs per week, Friday’s 1800-0700 & Saturday’s 1900-0700 and Tuesday’s 1800-0700
The Role:
We are seeking a customer service focused Security Officer to join our team in Luton. You will be responsible for covering the front of house reception maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, employees, contractors, and clients. Acting as the first point of contact, the officer combines professional customer service with security duties, ensuring access control procedures are followed while providing a positive experience for all building occupants and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Cover reception duties.
- Sign in and out visitors and contractors
- Carry out patrol at the required time throughout the shift.
- Be the point of contact in the case of incident / accident for emergency services
- Complete on-site DOB to make sure relevant information in logged in a timely manner.
- Send emails correspondence to the client on the back of incident.
- Conduct additional duties issued by the client / Amulet management
- Support the other locations that falls under the client umbrella located in Luton area.
- Make sure all staff are adhering to Client site-based Health & Safety protocols.
- Report and flag up any Facilities or infrastructure breaches
Skills/ Experience
- At Least 1 year experience in Cooperate or reception’s role setting.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and general systems use
- Friendly, approachable, and professional.
- You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Strong observation and surveillance skills
- You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
Licence Requirements:
- You must have a current SIA security Licence.
- Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
Job Requirements:
- You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
Interview Requirements:
- Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
