Vehicle Polisher / Prepper
Location: Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time - Temp to Perm / Permanent Opportunities Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Polisher / Prepper to join a busy automotive bodyshop operation in Upper Heyford. This is a hands-on role working within a modern workshop environment, preparing vehicles to a high standard prior to paint and final finish.
The successful candidate will be confident carrying out both polishing and preparation work across a range of vehicles. This opportunity offers long-term prospects, with both Temp to Perm and Permanent opportunities available.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Polisher / Prepper, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels for paint, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Polishing newly painted vehicles to remove imperfections and achieve a high-quality finish
- Carrying out prep work to ensure vehicles are paint-ready
- Removing and refitting panels and bumpers where required
- Supporting the bodyshop team to maintain workflow and productivity
- Working on a range of cars and vans
- Ensuring all work is completed to company quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper, Polisher, or similar bodyshop role
- Strong polishing and paint preparation skills
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with strong time management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
