Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring patrons enjoy their experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a friendly atmosphere for all guests. Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
- Prepare and mix beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables when necessary
- Provide friendly and attentive service to enhance customer satisfaction
- Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Strong time management abilities to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Previous restaurant experience is an advantage but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Customer service skills need to be excellent as our focus is on our hospitality and making our customers feel welcome and included.
