Weighing Scales Field Service Engineer
Weighing Scales Ltd, a well-established company based in Nelson, Lancashire, are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join our successful, friendly team.
Although beneficial, no experience is required... the most important thing is that you will be a fit for us and our customers. No two days will be the same at Weighing Scales. You may have one job booked in for the day, with the majority of your time spent travelling to and from one customer’s site, you may have 6 smaller jobs booked in within the same area, or you could be working inhouse at our workshop for the day testing off-shore equipment. Whatever your day entails, you will be the face of our company and a friendly, personable, positive attitude is a must.
Must be based in the North West of England.

Duties:
· Conduct calibration, service and maintenance of predominantly weighing machinery at our customer’s sites; to include factories, hospitals, schools and care homes (mostly in the North West, but sometimes further afield, which may include an early start / late finish or overnight stop)
· Fault find and diagnose technical issues on service visits or breakdowns
· Install and commission new weighing equipment
· Repair existing weighing equipment; to include electrical wiring and fitting of new parts
· Feed-back accurate information to office staff using an I-pad; to include completion of calibration certificates
· Identify sales opportunities and relate information to office staff
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence
· Trustworthy and an excellent time keeper
· Strong attention to detail
· Physically fit enough to continuously lift weights up-to 20kg
· Quick to learn / someone who can soak up new information and store it
· Not colour blind (due to electrical wiring/colour coding)
· Good under pressure
· Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work on your own initiative
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
· Ability to prioritise own workload and work to company schedules and deadlines
· A strong team player

· A technical qualification or experience of performing electrical / servicing / maintenance of equipment will be advantageous, but is not a necessity if you are the right person for us

Salary up to 35k per annum, dependant on experience
Days of work are Monday to Friday, but availability is required for occasional overtime at weekends or overnight stops.
Standard hours are 8am – 4.30pm / 8 hour day / 40 hour working week, but availability is required from 7am, depending on job list & locations being travelled to.
Successful candidates will be required to work a trial day (fully paid) and must be able to provide references.
A DBS background check (paid for) will be performed and a drugs test may also be required
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
