Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–6:00pm
Salary: £15.22 per hour

Selca Day Nurseries is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and fun Play Leader to join our very busy After School Club team. We are passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our values and commitment to excellence.
About the Role
You’ll be leading our school club provision at our pack-away setting in Llanharan. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children aged 3 to 12 years, has excellent leadership skills, and thrives in a playful, creative environment.
We’re aiming for a summer holiday start to allow for an extended induction ahead of the September term. However, we are happy to accommodate pre-booked holidays for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the After School Club and school collections
- Planning and preparing engaging play activities
- Providing snacks and drinks for after-school tea
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Playwork (essential)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare role
- Willingness to complete relevant training (e.g. safeguarding, paediatric first aid)
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to add business insurance (preferred)
