Relief Live-in Carer – 2 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off
A1 Care is looking for an experienced, compassionate and reliable Live-in Carer to provide regular cover for one of our established Live-in Care placements.
This is a recurring relief position. You will work 2 weeks as a Live-in Carer, covering the main Live-in Carer’s scheduled rest period, and will then return every 4 weeks to provide the same 2-week cover.
This role would suit someone looking for a regular Live-in Care placement without committing to a continuous full-time Live-in rota.
About the Role
As a Live-in Carer, you will stay in the service user’s home and provide person-centred care and support with all aspects of their day-to-day living, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
You will usually work independently and will have pre-arranged breaks during periods when the service user does not require support.
You will be expected to build a positive and professional relationship with the service user, their family and other health and social care professionals involved in their care.
Main Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting with personal care, including washing, showering, dressing and toileting
- Supporting with medication in accordance with the care plan
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition and hydration
- Light housekeeping and domestic duties
- Laundry and ironing
- Shopping and errands
- Supporting the service user to attend appointments, social activities and community events
- Promoting independence wherever possible
- Following the service user’s care plan, routines, preferences and house rules
- Maintaining the service user’s dignity, privacy, safety and wellbeing
- Reporting any changes or concerns appropriately

Previous Live-in Care experience is preferred.
