Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a flair for creating personalised hairstyles that meet clients’ individual needs. Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cutting, colouring, blow-drying, and specialised treatments such as balayage or keratin smoothing.
- Provide expert advice on hair care and styling options tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type.
- Manage the front desk operations, including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or specialised treatments to enhance client satisfaction and revenue.
- Mentor junior team members and trainees to ensure high standards of service are maintained across the salon.
- Assist with store management tasks such as stock control and maintaining cleanliness of the work area.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening attentively to clients’ needs and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Build strong client relationships through personalised service and effective communication skills.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist within a professional salon environment.
- Skills in barbering, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and colour correction are highly desirable.
- Experience in store management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is preferred.
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to promote additional services confidently and professionally.
