Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waitstaff to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Prior experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Manage guest bills accurately, processing payments efficiently using the POS system
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of food and beverages
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards guests
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management skills with the flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experiences is desirable
- A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest services
- Spanish speakers are highly appreciate.
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
