About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver & Stock Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines driving, stock management, order picking, and customer service. You will play a key part in ensuring our shops, wholesale customers, and home delivery customers receive their orders accurately and on time.
The successful candidate will be organised, efficient, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Deliveries
- Complete daily deliveries to our three retail shops.
- Deliver orders to wholesale customers.
- Carry out home deliveries as required.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Load and unload the delivery van efficiently and safely.
Order Picking & Packing
- Pick stock orders for each shop from the stock room.
- Pack baked goods and other products carefully to maintain quality during transportation.
- Check orders for accuracy before dispatch.
Stock Management
- Check in daily stock deliveries from suppliers.
- Restock and organise the stock room.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and report any shortages or issues.
- Assist with stock rotation and ensure products are stored correctly.
Vehicle Care
- Keep the company van clean and presentable.
- Carry out a thorough deep clean of the van on a monthly basis.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Confident and safe driver.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Friendly and professional with customers and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving stock and delivery items.
- Available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
