About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Trainer to develop and deliver effective technical training across our production operations. The role will support the development of employee skills and technical capability through structured onboarding, hands-on training and ongoing skills development. Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and People & Culture, you will help ensure employees are trained to the required safety, quality and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver structured technical training programmes, including new-hire onboarding, On-the-Job Training (OJT), refresher training and skills development.
- Deliver practical, hands-on training covering production processes, equipment, assembly methods, technical procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain skills matrices, training records and qualification pathways, identifying capability gaps and supporting cross-training initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical training materials, work instructions and job aids to ensure consistent and accurate training.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and People & Culture to identify training needs and support continuous improvement across operations.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a technical training, manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, assembly and production operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to employees with varying levels of experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage training programmes, maintain accurate records and prioritise multiple requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Quality and other teams to identify skills gaps and deliver effective training solutions.
