Warehouse Operative
Based in Whitchurch, Shropshire, Westry Roberts & Co are a family run business that specialise in the sourcing, selection and delivery of cheese, dairy and fine food to retail and wholesale customers.
With a modern fleet of refrigerated vehicles vans, we offer reliable delivery service spanning Shropshire, Mid and North Wales, The Wirral, Cheshire, Staffordshire, and the West Midlands.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to work within a small team.
The primary role will be to perform various warehouse duties, where forklift experience/licence is preferred.
The role will include picking orders and loading / unloading of products from our vans and suppliers vehicles (must be able to lift a minimum of 23kg).
Responsibilities
- Pick, Pack & Dispatch - Able to pick and pack goods from a picking sheet. Get goods ready & loaded ready for delivery on the company vehicles.
- Goods In - Help unload mixed pallets/boxes of goods and put them away. Sign deliveries in and keep the Warehouse Management System up to date.
- Other duties - Moving items around in the warehouse to maximise space, counting stock and keeping the warehouse clean/tidy.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to work early morning shifts, with flexibility for occasional overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
This is a full time role over 5 days (Monday to Friday, hours per week) with the flexibility to work overtime as requires.
Monday 07:00 – 13:00, Tuesday 05:00 – 16:30, Wednesday 06:00 – 16:30,
Thursday 07:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13.00
Two part time candidates may be considered for this role, but early starting hours are non negotiable. Please write on your application if you wish to apply on a part time basis.
