Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain fire alarm and security systems
- Diagnose and repair faults efficiently
- Carry out routine inspections and testing in line with regulations
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and legislation
- Complete accurate job reports and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in on-call rota
Requirements:
- Experience in fire and/or security systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications or training in fire and security systems
- Experience with a variety of manufacturers and systems
