Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to explore their surroundings
- Support children’s individual learning journeys by observing progress and providing tailored support to encourage their growth
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development, attendance, and daily activities in line with regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic care and consistent support for each child
- Lead by example in promoting positive behavior management strategies that nurture respect, independence, and social skills
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, including hygiene standards and safeguarding procedures
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide team members and support their professional development
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices for child development
- Ability to demonstrate childcare expertise through practical application in daily routines
- Valid driving license preferred for roles requiring travel between sites or community engagement activities
