Private Banker
Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded and relationship-driven Private Banker to join our London office. This is an opportunity to work with business individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices, and senior executives, delivering bespoke banking and wealth solutions tailored to their personal and business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of clients, providing strategic financial guidance and acting as a trusted adviser across lending, deposits, investments, and broader wealth planning requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Advisory
- Build long-term relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients by understanding their financial priorities and objectives.
- Deliver tailored banking and wealth solutions across financing, cash management, and investment needs.
- Serve as the primary relationship lead, ensuring a seamless and exceptional client experience.
- Work closely with specialist teams to provide holistic solutions aligned with each client's circumstances.
Business Growth
- Expand the client base through referrals, professional intermediaries, and personal networks.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and increase wallet share.
- Develop strategies to attract new clients and enhance market presence.
- Represent the business at networking events and maintain strong relationships with external advisers and centres of influence.
Portfolio Oversight
- Manage a portfolio of lending and banking relationships while maintaining strong commercial discipline.
- Monitor profitability and ensure clients receive solutions appropriate to their evolving requirements.
- Prepare credit proposals and support financing transactions where required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all client activities are appropriately documented.
Risk and Compliance
- Operate within regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Maintain awareness of credit, reputational and operational risks associated with client relationships.
- Promote a culture of integrity and ensure clients receive fair and transparent outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with risk, operations and compliance teams to ensure best practice is maintained.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in banking or wealth management or financial advisory or relationship management.
- Strong understanding of the needs of high-net-worth clients.
- Proven ability to establish and develop long-term client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex client portfolios is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant financial services qualifications are preferred.
- A willingness to pursue and obtain a Level 4 financial services qualification is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
