As a site supervisor, you will be responsible for working alongside and the supervision of all cleaning staff, focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behaviour whilst on duty. You will be ensuring that a first class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building. The site supervisor’s responsibilities also include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members, and checking private and public areas for tidiness. You will be documenting and investigating complaints regarding cleaning service and equipment and taking corrective actions. Build a workplace culture of continuous improvement.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Training General Cleaning Operators and Team Leaders to agreed standards.
2. Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job quickly. All issues should be documented and communicated to your Manager.
3. Carry out scheduled cleaning audits and forward results to your manager.
4. Ensure all works carried out by the General Cleaning Operatives as set out in their job descriptions.
5. Organising and delivery of cleaning supplies and equipment.
6. Attend regular scheduled meetings both onsite and in headquarters.
7. Issue agreed regular status reports to your Manager.
8. Undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by your Manager.
9. Review rosters to ensure adequate personal are available to cover the cleaning schedules and ensure staff arrive as scheduled.
10. Responsible for all day to day aspects relating to the Maintenance of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) cleaning service within the contract specification to the agreed performance.
11. To provide a cleaning service to the agreed standards in the GMP areas in accordance with the service level agreements and Key Performance indicators (KPI’s) specified in the service contract.
12. To actively enforce relevant statutory, company and Health and Safety (H&S) compliance together with monitoring of related equipment.
13. To ensure all agreed-upon client paperwork is available to GMP cleaning team and all paperwork reviewed for accuracy in line with client Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and expectations.
14. The day-to-day operations and supervision of all staff, focusing on their performance in terms of standards and delivery.
15. Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carrying out your work duties in a professional and courteous manner
16. Ensuring an accurate flow of communication in the day-to-day service delivery of the contract
17. Make yourself familiar with and follow all company procedure and regulations.
18. Participating in the H&S policy and the company and report any dangers, near misses or hazards you encounter to your manager.
General
As a Site Supervisor you may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibilities entailed. Such variations are a common occurrence and would not themselves justify the re-evaluation of the position. In cases, however, where a permanent and substantial change in duties and responsibilities of the position occurs, consistent with a higher level of responsibility, then the position would be eligible for re-evaluation.
