Overview:
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, and applying powder coatings using specialised equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning and ensuring proper adhesion of powder coatings.
- Applying powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns or other application methods.
- Operating curing ovens to bake powder coatings onto surfaces.
- Inspecting coated products for uniformity and quality.
- Troubleshooting coating equipment and making adjustments as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborating with team members to meet production goals efficiently.
Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as necessary.
Apply powder coating to a variety of metal products using spray guns.
Operate and maintain powder coating ovens and related machinery.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain an organised and clean work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and targets.
Requirements:
Previous experience in powder coating or a similar role is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to powder coating.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39.0 per week
