We are a friendly, family-owned minibus company providing school transport and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We are looking for caring and reliable PCV minibus drivers to join our team.
This rewarding role may be ideal if you are looking for work that fits around family life, a better work-life balance or a change of career. There is no weekend working.
The role
You will work alongside a Passenger Assistant to provide safe, reliable and consistent transport. Our passengers may have additional needs or medical conditions, so patience, understanding and a caring nature are essential.
Your duties will include:
- Driving safely and providing reliable transport for our passengers.
- Helping passengers board and leave the vehicle safely.
- Treating every passenger with care, patience and understanding.
- Following each passenger’s individual transport and support requirements.
- Communicating effectively with families, schools, Passenger Assistants and management.
- Completing daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
- Reporting defects, incidents and concerns promptly.
- Following company procedures and safe systems of work.
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with UK GDPR and data-protection requirements.
- Completing regular training and assessments.
- Providing a professional, friendly and dependable service.
What we are looking for
Applicants must be:
- Honest, reliable and punctual.
- Patient, caring and understanding.
- Professional and able to work well as part of a team.
- Confident driving a minibus safely.
- Able to provide the consistency and routine our passengers need.
Essential requirements
- You must have passed a Category D1 or Category D driving test. Grandfather rights alone are not sufficient.
- You must hold a current and valid Driver CPC qualification card.
- An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
- At least two years’ professional driving experience is preferred.
