Larchfield House is a specialist dementia nursing home in Maidenhead, Berkshire, providing high-quality, person-centred nursing and dementia care in a warm and supportive environment.
We are looking for compassionate, professional and dedicated Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to join our team on a Bank basis to help deliver exceptional care to our residents.
Skills and Experience
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin.
- High level of written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Computer literate and confident using electronic care records.
- Excellent understanding of the following:
- Safe storage and administration of medication.
- Clinical governance and safeguarding.
- Infection Prevention and Control.
- Care Planning and Risk Assessments.
- DoLS, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Dementia Care.
- Person-Centred Care.

Main Duties
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with NMC standards and company policies.
- Assess residents' needs and develop, implement and review person-centred care plans.
- Administer and order medications safely in accordance with residents' needs and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic care records using Person Centred Software (PCS).
- Monitor residents' health and escalate any clinical concerns appropriately.
- Liaise with residents' families and representatives regarding care and wellbeing.
- Work closely with GPs, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Support, supervise and provide clinical guidance to care staff as appropriate.
- Ensure wound care, infection management and clinical documentation are completed accurately.
- Promote dignity, independence and person-centred care at all times.
- Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed.
- Participate in handovers and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
