You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Mansfield King's Mill Hospital in where we are responsible for supporting hospitals nationwide, ensuring clean, well-ventilated, and heated spaces that aid patient recovery. We help cut energy use, carbon emissions, and waste costs, drawing on global best practice from over 400 healthcare projects.
We are currently looking for a Telecommunications Engineer who will efficiently and effectively carry out planned, breakdown and emergency maintenance of a complete range of mechanical/electrical services within the estate.
As the Telecommunications Engineer, you will:

Manage the maintenance and repair of the complete range of telecommunication engineering services associated with the Health Care estate.

Routine daily checking of the telephone switches and modifications to the telephone infrastructure wiring.

Monitoring of the call logging equipment.
-
Complete all record sheets and paperwork associated with routine duties accurately and in good time.

To undertake correctly and to a high standard the work associated with PPM (Pre Planned Maintenance) and Reactive Maintenance tasks.

To undertake correctly and to a high standard the work associated with an inspection and testing programme both for fixed and mobile/portable equipment.
We are looking for:

Hold a full UK driving licence.

Evidence of working within acute health care premises would be advantageous (but not essential).

The post holder will have an ability to communicate and co-ordinate tasks effectively.

It is implicit within all Estates staff job descriptions that a high level of flexibility and co-operation must be given in order to provide the quality-of-service standards required.

As this is a key front-line post, the post holder represents the Department directly to the Client group. Therefore, the post holder must have a high standard of customer care skills, have a pleasant manner, good communication skills, numerate and have keyboard skills.
