Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shirts Pressor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pressing and finishing shirts to a high standard, ensuring garments are presented impeccably for our customers. Responsibilities
- Operate pressing machines to smooth and finish shirts according to specified standards
- Inspect garments for defects or irregularities prior to pressing
- Ensure all shirts are pressed uniformly, paying attention to detail and quality control
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the pressing area and equipment
- Assist with garment folding, packaging, or other related tasks as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during operation of machinery
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or garment finishing is advantageous but not essential
- Basic sewing skills are desirable to assist with minor repairs or adjustments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Organised with good time management skills to meet daily production targets
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to different garment types
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
