Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Food Van seller Driver with a clean driving license from 9 am to 3 Tuesdays to Friday and the occasional Saturday to operate our mobile food service unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food products safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely service and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service to join a dynamic team.
Duties
- Safely operate the food van across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload supplies, ensuring proper handling and organisation within the vehicle
- Deliver food items to clients or retail outlets promptly, maintaining accurate delivery records
- Assist with setting up and packing down the van at each stop as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the van at all times, including regular sanitisation of surfaces
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- over 25 years old age for insurance purposes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and delivery routes efficiently
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and safe driving practices
- Physical stamina to handle long periods of driving and manual handling tasks
