Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to maintain high culinary standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Assist in meal assembly, plating, and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support team members during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or kitchen roles within a restaurant or café environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving customers
- Prior experience with food handling certifications or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to start date
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer interaction is a plus
