Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Butcher to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about butchery. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained, production, counter sales and cleaning duties.
Duties
- Assist in food production and preparation tasks
- Support the team with butchery and ingredient handling as required
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food presentation to meet quality standards
- Support in stocking supplies and rotating stock to minimise waste
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in food quality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience with butchery and presentation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends
