Café Manager – Join Our Team in Castlefield
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy café in the heart of Castlefield, Manchester.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone with previous experience managing a café and leading a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the café team.
- Oversee staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure food hygiene, health & safety, and company standards are maintained.
- Drive sales, control costs, and help achieve business targets.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Work closely with the owners to develop the business and improve operations.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Café Manager, Assistant Café Manager, or similar management role within a café.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of café operations and customer service.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and cost management.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
