Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in providing accurate financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Duties
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilise accounting software and other financial management tools to maintain precise records.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor cash flow and optimise financial processes to improve efficiency.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures in compliance with organisational policies.
- Mentor junior finance staff and provide guidance on best practices in financial management.
- Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant systems.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
- Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support team development.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
