Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating basic maths skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands without compromising service quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
