We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Manager to lead and develop our children's residential services across sites in Slough and Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex needs, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The Role:
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management, quality, compliance, staffing, and performance of the homes. You will ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities;
- Hold and maintain Ofsted Registered Manager status.
- Lead, motivate and develop residential care teams.
- Ensure high-quality care and support is delivered to all young people.
- Manage safeguarding, risk assessments, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee care planning, assessments, reviews, and outcomes for residents.
- Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, performance, training, and appraisals.
- Monitor budgets and ensure effective use of resources.
- Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, social workers, therapists, and other professional stakeholders.
- Drive service development and continuous quality improvement
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Current or previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager
- Minimum 2 years' recent management experience within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children's residential regulations, and Ofsted standards
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or EBD
- Proven leadership and staff management experience
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
Desirable
- Degree-level education.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Registered Manager Award, NVQ Level 5/7 Management qualification, or working towards one.
- Track record of successful Ofsted inspections.
