PJ's Childcare is looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Educator to join our nursery team in Farnham, Surrey.
This is a full-time permanent early years role, over 4 days per week. Part-time applicants will also be considered for the right person. The role may suit a qualified Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or Childcare Practitioner who wants a 4-day working week, consistent hours, a supportive team and hands-on work with children aged 0 to 5.

About the role
You will work in an all-age room, supporting children across the full early years age range. This gives you broader experience, more variety, and a stronger understanding of child development from babies through to preschool. You will support children aged 0 to 5 with learning, development, care routines and play in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will work as part of a room team and help create a safe, warm and engaging nursery environment.
Responsibilities
- Support children's learning, development, play and daily routines.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
- Carry out observations and contribute to children's EYFS records and assessments.
- Support personal care, meals, rest times and transitions.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating nursery environment.
- Follow safeguarding, child protection, health and welfare procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with room staff, senior practitioners and the nursery manager.
- Support inclusive practice and individual children’s needs.
About you
- Level 3 early years qualification preferred.
- Experience working in a nursery, preschool, early years or childcare setting.
- Caring, patient, reliable and professional.
- Confident communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Able to work as part of a team and contribute positively to nursery life.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- References required before appointment.
- Qualification check required where the role is to be counted as qualified within EYFS ratios.
