Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Cleaning Operative to join our team at Rivergate Shopping Centre in Irvine. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Hours worked are - Mon - Thurs 6am - 9am Friday 6am-7pm
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties including offices, retail spaces, and customer toilets.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure all areas are hygienic, tidy, and presentable.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Dispose of waste responsibly in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
