The Role
Due to the continued growth of our sustainability programme and increasing client, framework and compliance requirements, Connolly Ltd is looking to recruit a Trainee Sustainability Co-ordinator to join our Pre-Construction team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility to begin or develop a career within the construction and social housing sector. Working closely with our Head of Bids and teams across the business, you'll support carbon reporting, environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives that help drive Connolly's journey towards Net Zero.
You'll gain valuable experience working with colleagues from Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Fleet and Finance, helping to coordinate environmental data, support reporting requirements and contribute to sustainability objectives across our projects and wider business activities.
Key Responsibilities

Support the maintenance of Connolly's Carbon Reduction Plan and action trackers.
- Collect and organise environmental data from departments across the business.
- Assist with carbon reporting, ESOS requirements and sustainability evidence management.
- Support the administration of emissions reporting platforms and sustainability dashboards.
- Help prepare sustainability information for tenders, frameworks and client reporting requirements.
- Coordinate supplier sustainability surveys and support supply chain engagement activities.
- Assist with environmental awareness campaigns and Green Team initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sustainability records, evidence libraries and reporting documentation.
- Support sustainability activities across live projects and wider business functions.
What We're Looking For

A genuine interest in sustainability, environmental management, carbon reduction or social value.
- A-Level qualification in Geography, Sustainability, Environmental Studies or a related subject (or equivalent).
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- A willingness to learn new systems, technical processes and reporting requirements.
- Commitment to undertaking relevant professional development and qualifications.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
