Housekeeper/Room Attendant
Galtres Lodge is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team.
This is a part time position for around 12 hours per week, working over 2-3 days. Shifts are scheduled on a rota on a weekly basis. A "day" is normally around 4 hours of work. Additional hours may be offered to cover holidays or during busy periods. Shifts patterns will be from around 10 am and usually finish at around 3 pm, however, we can be quite flexible with hours depending on how busy the hotel is on each given day.
The purpose of this job is to help maintain high levels of service and assist with the smooth running of the hotel by keeping it clean and tidy. The main part of the role will be servicing hotel bedrooms, followed by some public area cleaning, and keeping the housekeeping store cupboards clean, tidy, and organised.
You will be working alongside our expereinced housekeepers.

Key responsibilities include:
- Clean guest rooms
- Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, and all public areas
- Organise work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures
- Distribute linen, towels and room supplies
- Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos
- Replace dirty linens with clean items
- Inspect and turn mattresses regularly
- Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
- Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
- Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
- Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
- Remove room service items
- Organise and restock housekeeping cupboards at the end of the shift
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
- Follow all company safety and security procedures
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Observe and report damage of hotel property
- Use chemicals as trained.
- Observe the rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by their Manager, Supervisor or the Duty Manager.
- Be aware of your responsibilities in respect of Health and Safety at Work and they follow all procedures in this respect and report to management any hazardous situation or accident.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required and to be involved and contribute to these.
