As a Real Living Wage employer, we pride ourselves on professionalism, reliability and supporting the local communities we serve. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a professional and customer-focused Driver / Warehouse Relief to join our Operations & Logistics team.
THE ROLE
This is a driving-first position, responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products safely and efficiently to independent community pharmacies across Scotland.
As the face of Aver Generics, you'll build positive relationships with our customers while ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time. When not out on deliveries, you'll provide support within our warehouse, assisting with picking, packing and general warehouse operations to help keep our service running smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Driving
- Safely and efficiently deliver pharmaceutical products to community pharmacies throughout Scotland and the wider UK.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Maintain company vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and accurately.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company procedures and pharmaceutical distribution standards.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at every delivery.
Warehouse Relief
- Support warehouse operations when not undertaking delivery duties.
- Pick and pack pharmaceutical orders accurately for dispatch.
- Assist with goods in, goods out and stock replenishment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation throughout the warehouse.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to support warehouse operations when required.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare or other regulated distribution environments.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and safe working practices.
WORKING HOURS
We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:
Day Shift
- Monday-Friday (Saturday OT)
- Core hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Flexibility between shifts depending on operational requirements.
Saturdays available
