Walsall Council is looking for a passionate and proactive Temporary Accommodation Compliance Officer to help ensure our Temporary Accommodation properties and services remain safe, secure and fully compliant for residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable residents while helping to maintain high standards across our accommodation provision.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for all Temporary Accommodation units.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to all health and safety activities within Temporary Accommodation.
- Stay updated with changes in health and safety regulations / legislation and ensure the council’s buildings are compliant.
- You are highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You excel in fast-paced settings, demonstrating independent thought and confident decision-making.
- You are passionate about supporting vulnerable people and committed to making a positive impact.
- Demonstrated experience in temporary accommodation / social housing settings, welfare services, or a related sector.
- You are empathetic, resilient, and prepared to support Walsall’s residents in challenging times.
