Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Child Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing environment. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for working with children. The ideal applicant will possess relevant childcare qualifications and experience in early childhood education, ensuring the safety, development, and well-being of every child under their supervision.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure their safety at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised environment that is conducive to learning and play
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community
- Monitor children's progress and behaviour, providing feedback to parents and management as required
- Assist with organising outings or trips in accordance with organisational policies
- Support children with their individual needs, including behavioural guidance and developmental support
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the childcare setting
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery environment
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards children
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending outings
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that cater to diverse needs of children
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable within childcare settings
