Overview
We are seeking a confident and experienced Front of House team member to join our speciality coffee shop. This role is focused on order-taking and sandwich preparation, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have previous coffee shop experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage the till efficiently while maintaining high food quality standards.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS/till system.
- Provide friendly, clear, and efficient customer service.
- Prepare sandwiches and light food items to a high and consistent standard.
- Support basic coffee and beverage preparation when required.
- Handle payments and manage transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and food hygiene standards across the front-of-house area.
- Restock ingredients, packaging, and supplies as needed.
- Work closely with the barista team to ensure smooth service flow.
Experience
- Previous experience in a coffee shop or similar fast-paced environment is essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confident using POS systems and handling orders efficiently.
- Experience in sandwich making or food preparation preferred.
- Good organisation and ability to multitask during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions.
