The Café is fast-paced, dynamic and passionate about serving a wide variety of hearty, home cooked food. We thrive on delighting our customers and giving them a memorable experience.
Summary
As a direct result of our strategic growth over recent years, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team.
The Café sits alongside our Farm Shop, so you will be selecting and cooking with fresh produce daily.
A Cook who is excited by delivering great home cooked food and that wants to explore and develop their skills. We are willing to work with, train and support the right person to help us achieve a common goal.
We operate in a fast-paced environment, the right person must have a hands-on approach, be reliable, willing to learn and cope under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food inline with Head Chef’s instructions and presentation requirements.
- Food prep and ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area, will include pot washing.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Support the team during busy periods, ensuring timely service.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with Head Chef to develop new menu ideas that highlight local produce.
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and presented attractively.
- Follow all HACCP and Food Safety procedures
- Essential to be able to deliver consistently a high standard of food and service in a calm manner and with the ability to adapt to change.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or kitchen work.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for quality food and customer service.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
