About Us:
Fen Farm is a well-established, family-run artisan cheese company based in Bungay, Suffolk, dedicated to producing high-quality cheeses with locally sourced ingredients. Our commitment to traditional methods and sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a Retail Assistant who can deliver exceptional customer service and support the day-to-day operations of our farm shop in Eye, including the presentation and sale of fresh, locally produced goods. The Retail Assistant will help create a welcoming environment for customers, maintain product displays, and ensure the shop runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service to all customers.
- Operate the till system and handle cash, card, and other transactions accurately.
- Restock shelves and ensure displays are well-presented and attractively merchandised.
- Assist with receiving and checking deliveries of farm produce and other stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the shop.
- Monitor stock levels and alert the Retail Manager of low or out-of-stock items.
- Comply with health and safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Represent the farm’s values of sustainability, quality, and local sourcing.

Experience Required:
- Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
- Full training will be provided
Working Hours:
- Saturday working 7:15 am until 6:15 pm
- An additional shift in the week flexible with notice
