Light Recovery Driver – Woods Fleet Support
Woods Fleet Support is looking for a reliable and motivated Light Recovery Driver to join our growing team. You'll operate recovery vehicles and flatbeds, providing safe, professional roadside recovery and vehicle transport while delivering excellent customer service.
Rates of pay discussed during the interview process, dependent on experience.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with a 1 week on-call / 1 week off-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate light recovery vehicles and flatbeds safely and efficiently.
- Recover and transport broken-down, damaged, or immobilised vehicles.
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
- Load, secure, and unload vehicles using approved recovery procedures.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service to customers at the roadside.
- Communicate effectively with the control team and complete job records accurately.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and road transport regulations.
Requirements
- Previous vehicle recovery or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to participate in the on-call rota.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
