Lovell Stone Group is a family run business with a reputation for supplying quality British Stone to customers throughout the UK. We own and operate six quarries across the South West, offering a range of natural stone products and bespoke services. We've become one of the most respected Quarry Masters and Masonry companies in the UK; working on a wide range of residential, historical and award-winning projects.
We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit another Quarry Operative at Bowden's Quarry, Langport.
The hours of work will typically be 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday – Thursday, 7.30am to 1.30pm (40 hours)
Hourly rate of pay starting at £12.71. Overtime may be available at time and half.
The primary responsibilities of this role will involve the guillotining and processing of natural British stone for a wide range of applications. This is a hands-on and physically active role, working with British stone in a busy quarry and production environment. All necessary tools, equipment and training will be provided.
Additional duties may include operating mobile plant machinery, supporting general site housekeeping, and assisting with the maintenance of production equipment.
Candidates must be able to follow instructions, work safely and efficiently, and maintain high standards of health and safety at all times. A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
