Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive loss prevention measures. Duties
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to observe activity across the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including emergencies or disturbances, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist in implementing safety procedures, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorising entry for authorised personnel only.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security procedures.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or stressful situations.
- Basic first aid skills are preferred, with certification being an advantage.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly.
- Physically fit with the ability to patrol large areas on foot and stand for extended periods.
- Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information and situations.
