Teach South Kent are currently working with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Tonbridge who are looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils, of both primary and secondary ages, to help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence
- Helping to create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
